Effect of Working Fluid-Filling Ratio Combination on Thermosyphon Performance as Add-In Enhancer for Indoor Air Conditioning Devices

An experimental study is presented to account for the implementation of a two-phase closed thermosyphon pipe, energy-saving purposes, in air conditioning systems context COVID-19. The setup consisted 0.5 m × 0.0127 type L copper pipe which was employed as body heat exchanger; an electric resistance heater 0.1 length located at bottom; and 0.25 water-cooled concentric condenser top. evaluation conducted employing acetone, ethanol, distilled water working fluids; ranging supplied evaporator from 25 125 W filling ratio 20% 40% total inner volume thermosyphon. From data obtained, it found that ethanol fluid most susceptible changes operation conditions. Contrarily, deliver consistent performance, up point that, analysed setup, considered be independent both, flow ratio.
